Faithfully living out the Christian life is not easy but often challenging. And sometimes, God will allow there to be a steep price tag for following Him. We’ll explore Mark 6:1-29 and see three price tags that may be applied to our lives if we really want to follow Jesus: the price tag of being skeptically questioned by other people, the varied response (including rejection) that others will have to our faith being lived out, and the significant sacrifice God will call us to make in order to fulfill His call in our lives. In each case, we’ll be reminded by Jesus, the disciples and the life of John the Baptist that despite the cost, living a God-honoring life is always worth it in the long run.
