
There is nothing quite like a hot potato with some butter, sour cream and perhaps even some bacon bits sprinkled on top. One glancing look or sudden smell can draw us to it and get us to dig in and enjoy it. But sometimes we find that the potato is really too hot and if we eat it too quickly or without the proper care, we’ll get burned by it.
There are certain issues in Christianity that mirror this tension— we call them hot potato issues.
We’ll examine eight big ones in a way that both allows us to enjoy them and also handle them with the appropriate biblical care they deserve.
